Kidney Transplant: Cindy and Jerry Sellers Update

Cindy Sellers gave her kidney to her ex-husband Jerry on Wednesday, February 24th.  The day after surgery, both Jerry and Cindy were recovering with flying colors.

Dr. Chavin and Dr. Baliga, MUSC transplant surgeons update on Cindy and Jerry’s recovery and shares why organ donation is so important.

    Cindy I am so proud of you, and I am so glad that Jerry is doing great! I love you so so so much. You are such a giver, and the sweetest person that I know. It might take a while for you to be completely better, but you saved a life. Everyone will remember this forever. Now maybe more people will donate kidneys. And just by this one thing you did it could inspire people all over. You have made such a difference. And everyone is as proud of you as I am. You and Jerry will be in my prayers. I love you.

    Wow Cindy! What an inspiration! I know Jerry is so grateful and thankful for you for giving him new life! Praying for both of you! Just remember Jesus loves you both and he gives us true life eternally! God Bless you and Jerry and your road to recovery. IThis may open doors for others. I didn’t even realize there’s such a need. Hmmmm something to think about and all because of you!!!! God loves you!

    I have know you forever and have never been more proud of you than now. You are truly an angel and the most giving person I know. You have been there for me through my chemos and I will be there for you through this. Everyone is praying for you and Jerry. When Oprah calls, don’t forget I am going with you Shug.
    I love you and know that God will take care of you and help you have a speedy recovery. Don’t forget dinner on Sunday.
