Zeb’s Life-Saving Surgery

Sawyer “Zeb” Lyle had a slight heart murmur when he was born three weeks early in March 2007. That’s common for a preemie and it should have cleared up in a week or two. But that’s not what happened. At four weeks Zeb was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and had to be rushed by helicopter to MUSC Children’s Hospital, the only hospital in the area able to perform the life-saving procedure he needed. Today, after three years and multiple surgeries at MUSC Children’s Hospital, Zeb is doing well and enjoying preschool. Read more about his journey at http://lylefamily5.blogspot.com/.
