Dr. Megan Baker, Medical Director of MUSC Hollings Cancer Center’s Comprehensive Breast Care Program, was interviewed by the Post and Courier on how breast cancer treatments can affect a woman’s fertility.
Chemotherapy can sometimes cause the onset of menopause – even in younger women. In cases where a breast cancer patient hopes to have children in the future, Dr. Baker and her team will work with a fertility specialist to ensure the patient has access to all possible options.
