On September 18th, 2011, our father, William Regan, was airlifted from Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, SC to MUSC for cardiac problems, more specifically HOCM with VT arrhythmias. On behalf of our family I would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the CICU unit. The attentiveness, compassion, and concern shown by Dr. Cuoco, Dr. Bernard, Dr. Gold, Dr. Powers, Dr. Nielsen, and the many others on the cardiac team, along with the nursing staff…Brandon, Katy, Lindsey,Leslie,Sonita, and once again all those I have failed to remember…you completely amazed us. Through out Dad’s two week stay, the family was kept informed of all situations and procedures. Our many questions were always answered and the responses thoroughly explained. We never felt intimidated because everyone talked to us instead of “above us”. To Dr. Cuoco…I have never met a physician who takes the time to call or e-mail a daughter who is concerned about her father, for this I am truly grateful. My prayer is for the Lord to richly bless each and everyone of you as you administer not only to your patients on a daily basis, but also their families.
