Going to the hospital can often be a frightening experience for children. In an effort to help children feel more comfortable, the MUSC Children’s Hospital Emergency Department is hosting a Teddy Bear Clinic from 9 A.M. to Noon on Saturday, January 28, 2012.
Children ages 3 to 10 years old and their families are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or their favorite stuffed animal the Children’s Hospital Emergency Department for a check-up.

Every teddy bear will leave with a diagnosis and discharge instructions such as “read two books before bedtime.” Children will also receive a small gift bag.Children and their teddy bears will also have an opportunity to become familiar with our child- friendly equipment and meet our pediatric specialists.
