Dr. Mintzer Addresses the Question of Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment with Targretin

Dr. Jacobo Mintzer recently appeared on Channel 2’s Medical Myths series to address the question of using a skin cancer drug, Targretin (Bexarotene) to reverse the symptoms of Alzheimer’s diesease.  A recent article published in the journal Science reported that the drug had been able to remove the abnormal plaque  in the brains of mice infected with Alzheimer’s and improve the memory of these mice.
