MUSC Sports Medicine is excited to announce their new partnership and celebrate the Lowcountry’s passion for football and giving back to the community.
MUSC Sports Medicine has agreed to terms partnering with the newly formed Charleston Man-of-War football team. MUSC’s sports medicine team will be the official healthcare provider for the Charleston Man-of-war. Mike Barr, PT, DPT, MSR, MUSC Sports Medicine coordinator said, “The Charleston Man-of-War is the first ever U.S. international football organization, and we at MUSC feel fortunate to be partnered with this new organization“.
The Charleston Man-of-War symbol is the capital “C” standing for Charleston, Community, and Competition; they have paired themselves with a number of community and charitable organizations to achieve this. MUSC Sports Medicine has also prided itself on community outreach and providing the highest level of care possible to the athletes of the Low Country, and we feel that partnering with an organization like the Charleston Man-of-War continues these efforts.
The Charleston Man-of-War will be hosting its first ever combine on April 21, 2012 at Stoney Field in Downtown Charleston. For more information on the Charleston Man-of-War and their upcoming combine visit their website, charlestonmanofwar.com.
