MUSC Neonatal Nurseries Reunion

NICU Reunion Fun

NICU Reunion Fun

The MUSC Neonatal Nurseries Reunion is a special, biennial event for the gathering of families and staff to celebrate the victories of the past, joys of the present, and promise of a brighter future for South Carolina’s children. Our goal for all Reunions is to make the day as memorable as possible for the children, families, and staff. There are numerous festivities to enjoy- jump castles, interactive petting zoo, face painters, puppet shows, and a ride-able children’s train. Also in attendance were McGruff, March of Dimes, and our Meducare Pediatric transport team. The parents thoroughly enjoy seeing all the bells and whistles of the Meducare ambulance, in which some of their babies took their first ride if transported from outside MUSC.

The MUSC Neonatal Nurseries Reunion 2012 was a great success. We had approximately 1,500 people in attendance in the MUSC horseshoe on Saturday, April 21st. Mother nature held back the heavy rain and blessed us with a little bit of drizzle here and there- enough to cool off the 80 degree heat. The event is planned by a team of 5 neonatal nurses and takes about a year to plan. We have great support from local as well as national vendors for the Reunion. We encourage all to “like” our face book page, which can be located under MUSC Children’s Hospital Neonatal Nurseries Reunion as well as keep us updated on address changes by sending us an email to reunion@musc.edu. The Reunion is an event that all neonatal nurseries staff hold near and dear to their hearts. Our next one will be in 2014.
